Invisalign may be exactly what you’ve been looking for to get your dream smile.invisalign

We are going to give it to you straight: studies have found that those with crooked teeth weren’t perceived to be as successful as their straighter-smile counterparts. That’s right; whether it’s in the dating world or professional world, people with straighter smiles were considered more successful, smarter and more popular. So, is it time to straighten your smile? Our Stockton, CA, dentists, Dr. Alexander Pritsky, Dr. Ravneet Nijjar and Dr. Emil Tanase, can help!

What is Invisalign?

By now, you’ve probably read articles or seen Invisalign advertised on TV. Perhaps this information was what piqued your interest about this unique orthodontic system.

Invisalign uses a series of nearly invisible medical-grade plastic aligners, which are customized to your specific treatment plan and designed to move your teeth into their proper position over time. The number of aligners you will need to wear will depend on several factors including the severity of the issue or issues you want to fix.

What will my daily life be like with Invisalign?

Invisalign is a great option for older teens and adults who want to straighten their teeth but worry that braces will negatively impact their lives. Our Stockton general dentists are here to tell you that Invisalign will not hinder your daily routine.

While there is always an adjustment period with any new dental treatment, these aligners are removable which means that you won’t have to change your diet or change how you brush and floss. Your day-to-day routine can remain the same.

Of course, it’s important that you wear your aligners as much as possible. Aim for wearing your aligners about 22 hours each day. While it’s okay to remove them before mealtimes or before oral care, ideally you should be wearing them the rest of the day. Each aligner is worn for about one to two weeks, after which it is replaced with the next set of tighter aligners in your treatment plan.

Are you ready to find out whether Invisalign is the treatment for you? If so, then it’s time you called Brookside Dental Care in Stockton, CA, to schedule your initial consultation. We would be happy to sit down with you and discuss your treatment options for a healthier smile.
